The Capelrig in Newton Mearns is looking for a Supervisor who will be in charge of managing our working shifts. Duties primarily revolve around the general management of the establishment, which include, but are not limited to, providing and demonstrating task instructions, keeping attendance, and measuring key performance indicators.  This vacancy is 45 hours, flexible over 7 days.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a passion for excellence. Previous leadership and kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential as full training is given.


Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Making sure employees that report to you meet performance expectations
  • Giving guidance to fellow employees.
  • Ensuring that the work environment is safe, secure and healthy
  • Meeting deadlines
  • Stock controls
  • Ensure great customer service at all times and adhering to Greene King’s company standards
  • Opening and closing of the business
  • Cash handling.


Supervisor Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Eye for detail and accuracy
  • Reliable, with high integrity and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and attitude
  • Proactive organisational skills
  • Ability to keep a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment



  • Customer facing experience is preferred
