Uplawmoor Hotel has a vacancy for Front of House Staff.

 

Entry requirements

There is no set requirement, although it would be desirable if you have:

  • paid or unpaid experience of working in a bar or hotel
  • an interest in food, wines and cocktails
  • a good level of physical fitness, as you could be on your feet all day
  • college course in hospitality
  • own transport due to the location of the hotel

 

Skills required

  • the ability to carry out tasks quickly
  • the ability to work on your own and use your initiative
  • the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • excellent communication skills
  • good timekeeping and attendance

 

What you’ll do

  • you will be working as a team and by yourself to interact and develop relationships with our residents, diners and drinkers to ensure that we deliver high levels of customer service:
  • taking food and drink orders
  • serving and dispensing beverages
  • delivering table service
  • recognize body language and help maintain a high guest satisfaction rating
  • polishing cutlery and other general cleaning tasks
  • you might also help with general tasks within the hotel

 

Salary & Benefits

  • National Minimum Wage Hourly Rate; a share of gratuities
  • 15% staff discount; reasonable food and drink refreshment depending on shift duration

 

Working hours and patterns

  • You’ll usually work 10 to 30 hours a week including shifts, weekends and public holidays

  • With experience and training you could progress to become a supervisor or key member of staff
