Eligibility for Programme: We are here to offer career information, advice and guidance all customers. Unemployed 16-19 year olds receive a case managed service.
Referral Procedures: To refer a customer for support, please call SDS Centre, The Foundry: 0141 577 8547

Customers can drop into our centres without an appointment and use the self-help facilities for job seeking purposes (internet access, telephone, printing CV’s etc)

Programme Outline:  Skills Development Scotland is the national skills body supporting the people and businesses of Scotland to develop and apply their skills. SDS qualified careers advisers provide career information, advice and guidance to customers at any stage of their education or working life.

SDS advisers support customers to develop the career management skills they need to make informed career decisions throughout their lives.

SDS advisers support pupils in each of East Renfrewshire’s high schools and from its centre at The Foundry in Barrhead.

SDS is also a referral agency for customers who wish to access the Employability Fund training provision.
