Programme Outline: This fund is for unemployed 16-24 year olds wishing to gain skills, qualifications and experience needed to enter further education/training, employment or modern apprenticeship. They will improve their core skills, gain recognised qualifications and access work experience. Courses last an average of 12 weeks for each stage. They may be eligible for a training allowance of £55 a week if 16 – 18 and continue on benefits if 18+. Travel is also paid.
