|Programme Outline:|| To prepare the participant for the logistics or passenger transport industries, by providing the opportunity to obtain the relevant vocational licence required for the sector.The LGV & PCV Driver training courses are designed to train participants to drive Large Goods Vehicles (LGV) or Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) in the following categories, category C – Rigid or category D – Bus.
DCPC training is also incorporated, allowing the participant to obtain their drivers card.
The length of training usually consists of a five or six day intensive training course, dependant on a driving assessment.
A work placement lasting approximately 8 weeks, job search and CV preparation are also an integral part of the programme.
|Additional Information:||We currently have many job vacancies within the logistics/bus sectors for large employers such as: WH Malcolm, WM Tracey, NWH, McGills Coaches and First Bus who urgently require drivers, successful candidates will be given an interview by these companies to check suitability on completion of driver training.
