“Combining practical experience with personal development”

Young Enterprise Scotland (YES) is a social enterprise with over 40 years’ experience of enterprise engagement with young people. Operating from our Centre in Rouken Glen Park
and the Hair and Beauty Centre in Barrhead we deliver the pathways programme. By “learning through doing” our programmes help each individual fulfil their potential, recognise their abilities and build confidence.

The pathway programmes deliver SQA qualifications, vocational awards, volunteering accreditations and internal certifications. Programmes run for up to 10 weeks with the offer
of ongoing mentoring support. Individuals on pathways programme must be aged 16-30 and either unemployed, a care leaver, ex offender or disadvantaged in some other way.

From February 2016 the following courses will run:

  • Pathway into Hair and Beauty
  • Pathway into Construction and Landscaping
  • More programmes to follow throughout the year.
