Referral, Engagement and Assessment
This pipeline stage is about reaching out to individuals, supporting people into regular activity and positive routines, and helping them to connect with others.
Needs Assessment and Barrier Removal
This stage sees a range of partners assessing the initial needs of clients and agreeing key activities to be undertaken with them in order to address any barriers to employment or training.
Stage 3 activities include delivering a range of accredited training, employability training for core skills, job search advice and activities to raise awareness of enterprise and entrepreneurship in order to meet the needs of individuals.
Employer Engagement and Job Matching
This stage includes activities such as arranging work or volunteer placements with employer, assisting individuals to secure job vacancies and matching job-ready clients to jobs.
In work support and aftercare
Stage 5 activities include supporting individuals to maintain employment and progress within the workplace.

A 12 month one to one support service to help job seekers to upskill, gain new qualifications and secure valuable work experience. The goal of Fair Start Scotland? Breaking down barriers to employment and getting people into work within 12 months. Once working, we will continue to support individuals for an additional 12 months, ensuring people not only move into employment, but sustain.
We work with a range of partners, each with their own area of expertise, in order to provide the most individually tailored and holistic support service possible for our participants to achieve their goals.
The Wise Group have a dedicated Employer Services Team working on Fair Start Scotland, resulting in direct access to vacancies procured specifically for our customers based on their needs and aspirations.
Who can we help?
Anyone over the age of 18 not currently in work or education (16 and 17 years olds with a disability or care experienced, are also eligible).
