Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) was designed and developed in partnership between SCVO and the Scottish Government to support vulnerable young people into sustainable Jobs are aimed towards vulnerable people aged 16- 29 who are unemployed and not on the Work Programme, Work Choice, Work First, Work Able, Specialist Employment Support and have not previously been on Community Jobs Scotland. To be eligible for CJS individuals should meet one of the following:
Employers will commit to providing:
All jobs offer a minimum of 25 hours paid work per week and pay at least £5.60 or the National Minimum Wage applicable to the age although employers are encouraged to offer more hours and pay the Living Wage. Jobs will last for up to 1 year. |
