Barnardo’s are delivering a Forestry Commission Forestry Course for individuals who are 16-24 years old and meet the eligibility criteria for the programme. The programme lasts for 10 weeks, with 8 weeks on site. Trainees are required to attend the programme 4 days a week over a 10 week period. The first 2 weeks will be ‘in-house’ classroom based. The next 8 weeks will comprise of 3 days on site and 1 day ‘in-house’ classroom based.

You will receive:

  • Sector Specific training on: CSCS, Manual Handling, Strimmer, Brush Cutter, First Aid Training, RHS Grow and Sow Award
  • Generic training on : CV Building, Interview Skills, Job Search Skills, Focusing on Literacies, Telephone Skills and IT Skills including applying using electronic e-mail within our IT suite
