East Renfrewshire Employability Awards 2018 are now open for nominations

Following on from the success of last year we are delighted to launch the second East Renfrewshire Employability Awards.

The event will celebrate the success of our local people who have been supported through the wide range of employability programmes being delivered in the area.

Have you employed or trained someone in the past 12 months (October 2017- October 2018) who deserves special recognition or who has made a big difference to your organisation?

You can nominate someone in those relevant categories open to you as many times as you like, but you will need to fill out a separate form for each person you nominate.

This is event is sponsored by Work EastRen and Skills Development Scotland.

Awards will be made across six categories:

  • Work EastRen Best Trainee Award
  • East Renfrewshire Council Modern Apprentice of the Year
  • Development in Employability Award
  • Developing the Young Workforce Award
  • Family Firm Special Recognition Award
  • Working Matters Special Recognition Award

If your nominee is shortlisted for an award we would like to do a short video (30 secs max.) with you and give you the opportunity to say why you think your colleague deserves the award.



The deadline for nominations is Friday 19 October 2018.

East Renfrewshire Employability Awards 2018 ceremony will be held in The Barrhead Foundry on the evening of Wednesday 21st November 2018, 6-8pm.

This is your chance to nominate a trainee or employee who shown the qualities necessary in building a better future and who has invested their time, effort, skills and resources in East Renfrewshire.

Skills Development Scotland

Awards will be made across 6 categories:

 

Category Criteria Who can nominate?
Work EastRen Best Trainee Award For the Work EastRen client/trainee who deserves special recognition for their efforts, attitude to progression and quality of work.

 

Nominees must have been supported through Work EastRen’s CPP Employability Pipeline and Employability Fund programmes.

Work EastRen Business Partners only.

 

Category Criteria Who can nominate?
East Renfrewshire Council Modern Apprentice of the Year For the Modern Apprentice who has thrived in their new role, developed their core skills and shown initiative and potential through the practical and theoretical elements of their apprenticeship. Modern Apprentice Supervisors only.

 

Category Criteria Who can nominate?
Development in Employability Award For the person with stand-out commitment to training and development. We are looking for someone who has learned new skills, taken on more challenging tasks, and progressed within the workplace, training or volunteering. All employability partners

 

Category Criteria Who can nominate?
Developing the Young Workforce Award For the young person who has shown drive, commitment and enterprise to move onto self-employment, employment or further/higher education. ERC Education Department, Skills Development Scotland and DYW West

 

Category Criteria Who can nominate?
Family Firm Special Recognition Award For the Family Firm client who has demonstrated commitment to move onto self-employment, employment or further/higher education. This awards also recognises their efforts and attitude to progression ERC Economic Development and Regeneration, Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)

Working Matters Special Recognition Award For the Working Matters client who has demonstrated commitment to move onto self-employment, employment or further/higher education. This awards also recognises their efforts and attitude to progression ERC Work EastRen team
